About Me

Howdy!! Welcome to 3rd Grade.  My name is Mollie Karsteter. I am so excited to be a Tiger at Grand Oaks Elementary. This is my 3rd year teaching in Tomball and 15th year teaching. I am thrilled to be teaching your child this year.

I graduated from Texas A&M (Whoop!) with my degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach EC-4 (All subjects), 4th-8th Reading/ Writing/Social Studies, ESL, GT, and Special Education.  I started my teaching career in CFISD. I spent 8 years in the district and taught 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades . I then spent 4 years teaching part time at a private preschool, while I enjoyed staying home with my children. Before teaching in Tomball, I went back to CFISD as a Reading Small Group Teacher. Now that I am in Tomball, I can't imagine being anywhere else!!!

I grew up in Cypress and have been married to my husband, Kris for 12 years.  We have 3 beautiful children together.  Kassadie is in 5th grade .  We have twins, Kolton and Sadie, who are in 2nd grade. We have 5 goats, and  1 gecko and 24 chickens.  If we are not spending time outside with our goats, watching our children play sports, or spending time with our family, then we are watching our Aggies WIN!

I am so excited to partner with you this year as we prepare your children for the future!! If you have an questions, please email me at molliekarsteter@tomballisd.net. Please follow me on twitter @mkarsteter
