Welcome to Grand Oaks!

Welcome to Grand Oak!

Dear Parents,

Welcome to GOES! My name is Stephanie Scott and I am the Gifted and Talented Instructional Specialist.

This year I will begin my 23rd year teaching in Tomball ISD.  I am looking forward to a year filled with exciting learning experiences.  My goal is for EVERY child to have a positive learning experience.  This will take us working as a team: teacher, child, and parent.  Communication, consistency, and positive reinforcement will be the key to success for your child.

Your child’s education is of the utmost importance to me, as I know it is to you.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child, please feel free to contact me by writing a note, calling me, or emailing me at [email protected].

Thank you in advance for your collaboration.  It is only with students, parents, and teachers working together that we can provide your child with the best possible education.  I am looking forward to working with you and your child this school year.

Tomball ISD is hosting a virtual GT Kids Conference.  In this 2 week challenge, from October 26-November 6, GT students will learn by manipulating, creating, and pondering a series of VIRTUAL labs/modules inspired by one of our most ancient technologies: PAPER.

GT Nominations for students new to Tomball

Fall Testing Grades 1-4
Students New to the District as of March 2020
Fall GT Testing is reserved for NEW TISD students in grades 1-4 as of March 2020. Parent permission is required in order to complete the testing procedures. If the permission form is not received by September 18, 2020, students will not have another opportunity to be screened until the spring. Additionally, a student who is tested in the fall will not be able to be tested again until the spring semester of the following school year. If you have prior testing data from a previous school, please send a copy to Stephanie Scott, Grand Oaks GT Specialist, as soon as possible. Keep in mind that if your child does qualify for GT services, a schedule change may be necessary to provide proper services.
If you would like to nominate your student for testing, please email [email protected] and you will be contacted with additional information.
