All About Mrs. Warnasch
I am so excited to be joining the 3rd grade team at Grand Oaks Elementary this year. This year will mark my 11th year of teaching. I graduated from The University of San Antonio. I have my ESL certification and my Gifted and Talented certification. Before opening Grand Oaks, my teaching experience was divided between SAISD and CFISD. I began my teaching career in San Antonio ISD right after college, I taught in a self-contained classroom in 2nd and 3rd grades. After my move to Houston, I taught in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD for seven years in 2nd and 3rd grade English Language Arts classrooms.
I was blessed to get to stay home for seven years and spend time with my young children. Since I left the classroom in 2014, I have remained very much connected with education. I worked with Ready to Grow Gardens and taught a variety of Science lessons in a school garden setting. I also substituted within TISD. Each of these part time jobs allowed me to do what I love; teach students.
I have a wonderful husband, Justin, of 12 years and three children, Lola, Sadie and Hudson. We spend our time as a family cheering on our girls in soccer and dance and chasing our young son around! Some of our favorite activities are bike rides, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
I am looking forward to a fabulous year with your children! I will strive to create a classroom that provides students with the education, self-confidence, and experiences they will need to be successful in lifelong learning.
